IHG Rewards Club’s objective was to increase awareness of their loyalty scheme and promote the breadth of rewards available for redemption. Offering 5 prizes every day the advent calendar truly opened doors for those who visited the site with gifts up for grabs such as Gucci Cufflinks, Ted Baker Headphones and an Xbox 360. Traffic was driven to the site via IHG’s owned digital channels and a small social media budget.
Loyalty Lobby reported ‘… seems there are quite a few prizes to be won and you may end up being lucky’.
The campaign for IHG Rewards Club generated 331,059 unique visits to the website during the campaign. Thousands played the game on Christmas Day to try and win a prize (obviously they were not in charge of making the Christmas lunch!)
